This handsome young Black Welsh Mountain 2006-born ram lamb has wonderful conformation, great wool, and would be a fabulous addition to any Black Welsh Mountain or spinner's flock.
He will be available for transfer to your flock by early to mid-August 2006.
Buyer must arrange and pay full cost of transport, but we are more than happy to work with you as you make those arrangements.
Black Welsh Mountain sheep are a small, easy-to-handle, non-flocking breed who are generally hoof-rot and fly-strike resistant.
This is the only breed of sheep whose fleece remains all-black throughout their lifetimes, with no fading to the either grey or brown tones that is commonly seen in other breeds that may also produce black sheep.
These sheep are a long-tailed breed of sheep, and the Black Welsh Mountain breed standard requires that the tails of these sheep remain undocked.
Exceptional mothers, Black Welsh Mountain ewes are typically easy lambers and remain wonderfully personable sheep throughout their lifetimes.
With the recent introduction of three different new genetic lines of Champion Black Welsh Mountain ram UK genetics, the young Black Welsh Mountain ram currently for sale exemplifies both the wonderfully soft wool and the exceptional conformation that is now being seen in this happy combination of the \"best of both\" American and UK lines in these much-loved little black sheep.
Our Black Welsh Mountain flock is registered with the American Black Welsh Mountain Sheep Association and I am pleased to serve on that Association's Board of Directors.
This Black Welsh Mountain ram lamb will be registered with the ABWMSA. We will ensure completion of all required ABWMSA paperwork/transfer of ownership in keeping with that Association's guidelines.
Our Black Welsh flock is enrolled in the Federal Voluntary Scrapie Program and fully complies with that Program's requirements.
