Azolla (Anabaena azollae) or Duckweed Fern.
This is not a true Duckweed but a microscopic fern however unlike Duckweed it fixes it's own nitrogen making it ideal for a Green Manure.
This variety is a native of south western Western Australian.
Assists in the purification of Greywater for use on the garden Stock Feed - Fish, Poultry and livestock. High in protein a very good stockfeed!! Help keep your garden pond or dam cleaner and reduce water lose. (may need to exclude it from the shoreline for stock to drink. A covering of Duckweed reduces mosquitoes too! Grows fast easy to keep. Yes, you can eat it yourself - This variety tastes a little like lettuce or is that chicken. :-)
