Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar storage are, how ForFarmers.com uses them, and the separate cookies that a partner retailer may set once you click through to its store.
What Cookies and Local Storage Are
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Local storage is its close relative: a small amount of text the site keeps on your device under a named key. Both let a site remember your choices between visits.
What ForFarmers.com Stores on Your Device
We keep the catalog's storage deliberately small. Everything we set is essential to how the page looks and behaves, and none of it identifies you:
- forfarmers:mode — whether you read by day or by night (light or dark)
- forfarmers:scheme — which binding (color palette) the catalog is painted in
- forfarmers:cookies — the cookie notice choice you made, so we do not ask again
These live only on your device, are read before the first pixel paints so the page does not flash, and are cleared whenever you clear your browser data. They contain no name, no email address and no personal information.
What We Do Not Use
- Advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies of our own
- Cross-site profiling or re-marketing cookies
- Cookies that record which products you looked at and sell that to anyone
- Persistent cookies that identify you personally
Partner and Retailer Cookies — Please Read
This matters on an affiliate site. When you click a product link, you leave ForFarmers.com and land on a partner retailer's website. That retailer typically sets its own cookies to attribute the visit to us, remember your cart, price the basket and measure whether a purchase followed. Those cookies are set by the retailer, governed by the retailer's own privacy and cookie policy, and are outside our control — we cannot read them, and we do not receive the data in them.
If you do not wish a retailer to set attribution cookies, avoid proceeding from our product links to that retailer's site, or adjust your browser settings before you do. The privacy choices you make on a partner's site have no effect on ours, and vice versa.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement to learn which entries are read and which are not. This is page-level and device-count level, not a profile of you, and it never includes your name, contact details or the contents of any form you send us.
Managing Your Choices
- See what is stored: your browser's site-data or developer tools panel
- Delete it: clear site data for forfarmers.com
- Block it: block cookies or site storage for this or all sites
- Change your bindings at any time: the theme picker overwrites the stored value instantly
Note: blocking essential storage does not break the catalog, but your chosen binding and reading mode will no longer be remembered between visits.
